Where to buy lwren scott

When news broke yesterday of the tragic, untimely death of fashion designer and model L'Wren Scott, headlines were quicker to name drop her as Mick Jagger's girlfriend than recognize her as the accomplished talent she was. In case you didn't know, Scott started her career as a Calvin Klein model and quickly advanced to doing shows for the likes for Chanel and editorials for famed photographer Bruce Weber.

Her first collection as a designer, titled "Little Black Dress," debuted in and featured wearable pieces, all in black. The brand instantly attracted a loyal, celebrity following and has been worn by the likes of Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, and even first lady Michelle Obama.

With Scott's genius and creativity at the forefront of our minds, rather than whom she was dating, we present some of our favorite L'Wren Scott moments from the past two seasons. Taylor added that Scott would never have a synthetic silk inside one of her dresses. And her aspirations were to be absolutely the best. Jagger challenged her with his on-stage demands. Jagger set up the scholarship in , the year after Scott committed suicide , and the aim is to support one student each year to reach his or her potential in the fashion industry.

Among the top lots are the two bespoke stage jackets that Scott made for Jagger, with an estimate of 20, to 30, pounds each. Dressing men and women for the public stage came naturally to Scott, a Utah native who began her fashion career as a model in Paris, and later became a successful Hollywood stylist. The sale also features pieces that Scott wore herself.

Unlike other designers, Scott had no qualms about wearing versions of her celebrity creations and the sale features two almost identical slinky green dresses, one of which was designed for Kidman.

They had very similar taste, and quite similar body shapes, and they were both tall and lean. While Scott may have spent much of her time with A-listers, she was still warm, grounded and funny. We had very similar body shapes, which is always quite good with a designer so she was able to design to my frame—anything she would wear I would wear.
