Their music covers omit any profanity in the original songs; the band cites their young audience as a reason for this. In their early period, the group made original music that almost exclusively belonged to the teen pop genre. During their independent artistry, however, this changed; Hearts on Fire is a country pop album, and Alive is a Christian album. Recurring themes in their lyricism include self-worth, love, heartbreak and relationship with God. There are exceptions; their song Made In America is also a patriotic song, and Renegade encourages personal independence.

Many of the sisters have gone into individual ventures. Christina has her own YouTube channel, where she discusses her pregnancy. She also runs a life coaching business. Lisa has released music on her own channel, both individually and collaborating with other musicians, for example with Riff Raff for his Aquaberry Aquarius EP. Lauren has released her EP, Orange, featuring four original songs.

She also released her second EP, Blue, in August of Dani has two YouTube channels - one featuring her and husband Emmyn, and one featuring herself. The channel involving herself tackles more mature topics, such as religion, social justice and sex-related topics.

She started posted videos on those channels after her departure from the band, and as of June has amassed , subscribers. Four of the six sisters Katherine, Amy, Lauren and Dani suffer from brachydactyly, a disease which causes their fingers to be abnormally short and crooked.

Cimorelli concluded by assuring fans that the band would continue to exist, hopefully for years to come. It was when Dani turned 15 that she really began to explore other career paths. While being part of Cimorelli gave her amazing chances to excel, it also began to hold her back. While Dani considered going to nursing school , she eventually discovered a passion for graphic design. She was social, made friends easily and loved being with her friends more than anything.

She was also sensitive and artistic, spending hours getting lost in books and poetry, as well as writing her own poems and stories. She was very passionate about musical theatre and she was in 16 musicals. Towards the end of her time in musical theatre, she was given a few comedic acting roles and realized how much she loved comedy. The fourth child was named Lisa.

Lisa was similar to Christina in that she was perfectionistic and driven, but in a very different way. Lisa was very deep, self-reflective and analytical from a young age.

She loved to sing and perform for her family members, often original songs she made up as a young girl. She was athletic as well, excelling in triathlons and figure skating. She was very quiet until she started to slowly started to come out of her shell around the age of 12, and out of the oldest 4 kids, she was by far the most introverted.

Amy was next. In , they released their first the EP under the label. CimFam EP was released on December 6, The girls uploaded multiple videos dealing with the topic. They also sat down with Chelsea Briggs from Hollywire TV to talk about their upcoming debut album and Lisa said they had two albums worth of songs that they've written to start recording during August. It was released on iTunes the same day. In June, Cimorelli launched a web series entitled " Summer with Cimorelli ", which was sponsored by the restaurant franchise Subway.

They released a new single through the series episodes, " Everything You Have ", on June 9th on iTunes. On August 25th, the girls released the single " Come Over " on iTunes. On October 27th, they released their fifth EP called Renegade.
