His method, as yours, needs to be explained. And there are also things that he would also need to show how to practice. I was told by some of his more famous students that he thought very highly of Kreutzer.
Some told me he considered Kreutzer the bible. But kreutzer has to be told to the student on how to practice each study. I personally like kreutzer. But I now have found that Fiorillo which I find more technically demanding then Kruetzer or Rode and in some ways.
