Having seen the Daily Telegraph article placing Blackmoor Nurseries as one of the top three fruit tree suppliers in the country my wife placed the order for me. It has arrived after only three days extremely well packed.
It has a beautifully clean graft, has been well trained into a classic wine glass shape and is a very healthy looking specimen. It is in a completely different class to the sickly, poorly grafted, poorly pruned and shaped specimen that I saw at my local Wyevale Garden Centre. Thank you for not letting my wife down on an unseen purchase.

When is the best time to plant a fruit tree - Container grown apple trees can be planted at any time of the year. Bare Root apple trees can only be planted between the months of November - April. Planting distance for apple trees - All fruit trees are grafted onto a rootstock. It is the rootstock that determines how big the apple tree will grow into. As tall as the tree will grow into would be the planting distance. Example MM will grow to metres when mature.
So a spacing of between metres would be required.
