In my experience razor blades work best for these but your mileage may vary. You do need lots of lubricant which is why i recommended the soapy bug remover. Also, in my experience a razor blade that is a little dull not super dull is far less likely to dig into the paint. Heat guns never seemed to work well for me on these types of stickers, but again your mileage may vary.
